About Kent History Hub

Welcome to Kent History Hub, the leading online destination for Kent's historical communities. Founded in 2023, our mission is to serve historians, genealogists, local residents, tourists, and educational institutions interested in Kent's rich heritage spanning from Roman times to the present day.

"To be the definitive resource for researchers, historians, and heritage enthusiasts exploring Kent's fascinating past - from ancient Roman settlements to medieval pilgrimage routes, Tudor manor houses to Victorian industrial heritage."

Our Origins

Kent History Hub was established by a group of passionate local historians and heritage professionals who recognised the need for a comprehensive, accessible online resource dedicated to Kent's extraordinary historical legacy. The county of Kent, often referred to as the 'Garden of England', has played a pivotal role in shaping Britain's history since prehistoric times.

From being the landing site of the Romans in 43 AD, to its crucial strategic importance during the Battle of Britain in 1940, Kent has been at the forefront of many defining moments in British history. Our founders sought to create a platform that would not only preserve this rich heritage but make it accessible to anyone with an interest in Kent's past.
